I'm going to start this blog post with a confession. I'm totally an unrealistic Canadian when it comes to weather. I absolutely love the beach, want sunshine all day everyday, and dread Winter months. Crazy, right? Well, based on my conversations with friends, family and complete strangers in my condo elevator (lol), I'm totally not alone. Who would pass up sunshine and beach days for freezing, rainy weather? If you're saying you would, I think you're in the minority.
Canadian weather can be quite a drag and Spring weather is in full effect which usually means lots of rain and drastic temperature fluctuation. In Canada, we just don't have a consistently warm Spring season.
Anyway, on to the point of today's blog post....struggling with what to put on in the morning? Feeling a bit blah about your outfits? I know sometimes it's tricky to look cute AND be dressed for a cooler morning and a warmer afternoon. So, today, I'm dishing some simple tips and tricks to help you through these transition months. You'll be looking chic and ready for when that weather turns on a dime.

1. Layering: Bring your layers people! Start your outfit off by wearing a fitted blouse, a thinner pullover or graphic t-shirt to show your wonderful figure. Then, throw on a chic leather jacket, light cardigan or a trench coat...all three items go a LONG way in the cooler temps. Remember, you can always shed layers.

2. Rain Gear: I know rain gear isn't the sexiest look, but it's necessary! You don't have to be dressed head-to-toe like a fisherman, but let's be practical ladies. Pick up a trendy umbrella, rain coat or tall boots and give yourself a stylish look that'll keep you dry. There's nothing worse than showing up to work or a social gathering, soaked.

3. Accessories: Handbags and sunnies are are must-haves in a Spring wardrobe. How else are you going to carry around your layers and extra pair of mules if you don't have a roomy purse? And what if the rain stops and the sun starts to shine? Protect those gorgeous eyes...grab this pair, or these beauties.

4. Denim is your friend: Purchase a reliable pair of denim that you can wear with confidence. Trust me, this item is worth the splurge. What other staple piece can you wear over and over again that is this versatile. I bet you're lost for words.
