Are you feeling the end-of-Summer blues? Don't worry girlfriend, I've put together a fun to-do list for this weekend that will make you forget all about the wonderful season coming to an end. Below are 5 things to do this Labour Day weekend that will turn that frown upside down... ;)
End-Of-Summer To-Do List
1. Throw A Wicked Backyard Bash
I'm totally aware that September is here and everything Pumpkin spice is ramping up, but this weekend, grab your closest friends and throw a cute backyard bash with Summer-inspired cocktails and dine alfresco! Rosé Sangria, spiked lemonade and delicious food? Heck yes! Need some inspiration for those cocktails and snacks? Check out the photos below, they're bound to have you running to the farmer's market and LCBO.
2. Take a trip to the CNE
Okay, okay. I know the Exhibition can be a tad crowded, overwhelming and a bit obnoxious, but hear me out. There's something so cute about walking around the amusement park hand-in-hand with the person you love or a close friend and listening to the nostalgic sounds around you. How can you turn down whack-a-mole, rides, indulgent food and shopping at the home pavillion? You can't, really. How about a smooch on the ferris wheel while overlooking the water and hundreds of happy people? Sounds like an amazing way to spend the last weekend of the Summer. If you decide to go, try one of the wacky food items only the CNE has to offer and post on Instagram for all to see, so fun.

3. Have a 'Me' Day
Lately, I've been going out to a lot of gatherings, dinners and parties. Summer is a busy time and I'm not the type of gal that will turn down a glass of rosé on a gorgeous patio. Ahem, Cactus Club anyone? However, with Summer winding down, I've noticed that I haven't had a lot of time to myself and perhaps a "me" day would do me a lot of good. I don't know about you, but I love to start my day with exercise, followed by a trip to my fav café. A visit to the spa for a mani and pedi isn't a bad idea either. Some of the most relaxing nights for me include face masks, a good movie and a glass of wine. Do you love going for walks? Checking out local farmers markets or restaurants around the city? Go for it. As soon as you know it, we'll all be busy with the holidays, work and many other commitments. Whatever makes you happy and feel relaxed, do it girl. A long weekend is for decompressing, so do the things you love and leave the stress at the door.
4. Attend an Outdoor Yoga Class
Whether you're in Toronto or joining us in Muskoka for the long weekend, there are plenty of options for outdoor yoga classes and even some of them are FREE. Yeah, that's right, on the house. Every Sunday morning from 10:00am-11:00am, you can partake in an outdoor yoga class at High Park hosted by Flow Active, and not pay a cent! The class is located just southwest of the main intersection of High Park Blvd and Bloor St West. I've attended this class a few times over the Summer, and let me tell you, it's such a cool experience. You get a great workout, you surrounded by nature and feel completely refreshed without having to open up your wallet. I totally dig it. Over at SWS Marine in Muskoka, Power Yoga Canada holds their power vinyasa yoga classes in a charming boathouse that has a gorgeous view of Lake Rosseau. Jenn Dwyer (instructor) will have you working off those dockside cocktails in no time. What a wonderful way to burn calories and still feel like you're on vacation. Best of both worlds.

5. Shop the truck in Muskoka
Not only is the truck parked right by the lake all weekend in Muskoka at SWS Marine, but we are fully stocked with candy, beautiful flowers and brand new arrivals. We just got a fresh shipment from Rails, Chaser and Free People,YAY! If that wasn't enough, we are also having a Summer sale. Amazing, right? All summer inventory is 30% off including denim, shoes and clothing. As for the new arrivals, slash 15%. If you can't make it out to Muskoka, the sale will also be online for the entire long weekend, so be sure to check it out. We have tons of amazing stuff for Fall, which will be here before you know it. ;)
Hope you have an amazing long weekend and get a chance to unwind. See you back here next Friday. Until then....
All the best,
Kayla & the Fashion Truck team xoxo
